Useful Spring Cleaning Tips!
Useful Spring Cleaning Tips!Your home deserves a thorough and proper spring clean every once in a while, and if you don’t already treat your home to a deep cleanse then now is a great time to start! Follow these tips for an easy and efficient spring clean that will leave your home looking and feeling fantastically clean!1)    De-clutter your home.Start your spring clean by de-cluttering your home. Go through each room of your house - not forgetting your basement, attic, shed or garage – and get rid of any and all unwanted or unused items. If you have things in good condition then it’s a good idea to donate them to charity shops, or why not try selling them online or at a local jumble sale if you want to make a bit of money? Any items that are stained, old or damaged should be thrown away. It can be hard to part with items of sentimental value, but if they’re cluttering up your home then try to be strict with what you’re keeping and what you’re throwing away!2)    Make a shopping list. Before you begin your spring clean go through your cleaning cupboards and see what you have and what you’re going to need to buy. Think about stain removal products, drain unblockers, cleansing sprays, bleach, ammonia and polishing products, as well as your cleaning equipment. Mops, brooms, scouring pads, soft cloths and more will all be needed for your spring clean, so ensure that you have everything that you need before you begin!3)    Make a cleaning list.Making a cleaning list and schedule is a great way to keep on top of your spring clean. List the rooms of your home and the jobs that you want to complete per room, so that you end up with a thorough to-do list that you can consult when you begin cleaning. Don’t just think about vacuuming and scrubbing – think about cleaning behind your radiators, your light fittings, turning your mattress, cleaning your carpets and cleaning your upholstery too!4)    Making your own cleaning products. If you’re on a budget or if you want to avoid using harsh chemical cleaning products in your home then all you need to do is buy some fresh lemons or white vinegar. Lemon juice has strong natural antibacterial properties and if you mix it with water and pour into a spray bottle you have an all-natural all-purpose cleaning agent that’s suitable for every room in your home! You can also do the same with white vinegar, which can also be used to tackle limescale and mould in your bathroom. For another all-natural cleaning product mix together bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar to unblock your drains and keep your bathroom and kitchen taps sparklingly clean!5)    Involve the whole family. If you’re spring cleaning then why not get the whole family involved? Spring cleaning can be made fun for children of all ages with a little imagination, and it will be less work for you to do too!
